Catherine Journal
Welcome, and thank you for visiting my blog! Cooking has been my passion since childhood. I enjoy exploring recipes from cookbooks and online sources, and I especially love cooking, experimenting, and documenting my culinary journey. For many years, most of my recipes were carefully recorded in an A4-sized journal. However, inspired by a friend's suggestion, I decided to bring them online. While a handwritten journal is only accessible when it's in your hands, an online collection allows my children to enjoy and find our family's favorite home-cooked recipes wherever they are. Many of the recipes shared here were passed down from my mother-in-law, an amazing cook. When we lived with her, I often helped in the kitchen and learned many valuable lessons from her. She was always generous in sharing her cooking secrets. The only challenge was that, like many experienced cooks, she rarely measured her ingredients! Even so, through her guidance and years of practice, I learned to recreate her dishes so well that my family can hardly tell the difference between her cooking and mine. I hope these recipes bring as much joy to your kitchen as they have to ours. Happy cooking!
